It’s daunting and quite strange, how in a few fleeting minutes your life can change,
Just a chance meeting of someone new, can change all perception, your point of view,
One minute alone, lonely and wondering how to cope, the next revitalized and full of New Hope,
With the problems of the past, I did learn, problems I must now forget, and it’s time for a new direction, realistic goals to set,
Back to the beginning, start at square one, there is plenty of time to stare at he moon, bask in the sun,
Not long ago I was totally confused, just walked around bemused,
I walked into a shop met a lady, young, intelligent and lovely, not only did I meet her, I found me,
Her confident words were music to my ears, in minutes I managed to dispel my inadequate fears,
The cross-roads in my life I have now passed, time to go on down the road, get fulfillment at last,
My mind is clearing, again I can write, all through a chance meeting one spring night,
She helped me, but doesn’t know; now I can allow my inner self to once again grow,
Not wanting to look strange, how do I say thank-you? How can I say it, what do I do?
It would be nice to walk down that road together, around the bend; I would be honored if eventually she would allow me, to be a friend,
It’s daunting and quite strange, how in a few fleeting minutes; your life can change.
