Lost My Drive

I’ve lost my will, I’ve lost my drive,

I’ve no reason left, to stay alive,

Don’t cast dispersions or lay any blame,

    It’s no-ones fault, by name,

If anyone is to blame, it’s me,

I made the decisions you see,

I only wanted to help, find happiness,

    Instead, caused pain and distress,

    Left people totally confused,

    All and sundry bemused,

I hope it can be repaired, the damage I have done,

I really didn’t mean to hurt anyone,

I gave freely my heart and soul,

Now it’s over, I must pay the toll,

To all my sorrow I confess,

I will not die and leave a mess,

No need for anyone to weep,

From my body life will seep,

As I call death, with all my will,

    I love her deeply, still,

She was my focus, my release from stress,

    Hope she finds unbridled happiness,

As I wait to see the light,

I just want to kiss her good night,

To yourselves be honest and true,

Remember, I do care, for all of you,

Time for me to take wing, and fly,

I wish you all a loving goodbye.
