Silent Night

As the night falls, I dream
    Of you silently watching me
    Looking down from innocence
    To all that you see...
    I pray of you, speak
    Please let me hear
    The softness of voice
    To know you are near...
    Come closer
    Be not so far
    So that I may adore
    All that you are...
    It must be illusion
    For now I can see
    The perfection of you
    Standing before me...
    The birds in their trees
And the voice of the night
    Succumb to a silence
    To look with delight...
    Silent night
    As when He was born
    Night forever touched
    Professes to the morn...
    Arise from your slumber
    Bring forth your light
    To shine on the angel
    Who has captured the night...
Says the moon to the sun
    Do not you agree
    She alone stand worthy
Of the light held by you and me...
Then the sun and the moon
    Rejoice as they see
    That you have touched them
    As you have touched me.
