I've recently developed a keen interest in kitesurfing. No need for actual surf however; just water, wind, kite and board.

I work as school liaison officer for an education software company called "Future School."  I spend a lot of time on the computer, home and work; I love it.

I was let go from Telstra at the end of January 2002 due to restructuring. I worked for Telstra for 3 1/2 years. I started as part of a team who drafted plans for new and altered phone network. Then I became the New Estates Coordinator for all of rural Queensland. Working in an office hasn't always been for me.

I have spent the last 9 years working for myself as a craftsman potter. I produced domestic products individually hand-made on the potters wheel. Sales were from the studio and local craft markets every week-end.

Prior to that, I, like Jane-Frances, was a primary school teacher, which I did for 10years, in Tolga, Cloncurry, Magnetic Island, and many short periods at schools throughout the Townsville District. As you can see, I have had a varied working life so far

I pursued, in October '99, a long held dream to learn to play a jazz instrument and after attending the 3rd Magnetic Island Jazz Party finally took steps to purchase
a trumpet and find a teacher. Since then, I have joined a brass band, to get regular weekly practice. The band attended the National Brass Band Championships in Brisbane at Easter 2001. We came equal 6th out of 12 in our D Grade division.

At the Maggie Jazz Festival, I was so impressed with a group from the Gold Coast called Mus'N Touch who are an acid/funk quintet, that I recommend you visit their site or even buy the CD.
