Man is a worshipful or reverent being because his conscience acknowledges that there is a supernatural being superior to him existing.  Man, because of his ignorance of the Word of God, tends to worship God according to his own ways and ideas which are erroneous.  On the other hand,  God wants man to worship Him according to His divine ways as revealed in the Scriptures.  God cannot accept false worship, and so , He is seeking for true worshippers (John 4:23-24).

DEFINITIONS:

    Worship --  to honor; to show reverence for.
          Idol  --  An image or a figure regarded as an object of worship.

I.  WORSHIPPING GOD IN SPIRIT.
