Oink, Oink, Oink.

It's been raining and raining and raining all day. I took one look out there this morning and said,"Hey, it's a telecommuting day!" I called into work and told them I'd be home and I got tons done. I did venture out to take Mike to school after lunch and he wore his loathsome trenchcoat and said I couldn't bitch because I was wearing a big broad brimmed straw hat.

Well, fine, be that way.

This morning, I got up and just had a hole in my stomach, which I normally get when my sugars are below 70. And I informed Mike -- I told him I wanted a breakfast sandwich, figuring he'd head off to some fast food place and bring me a bag of steaming hot fatty food, but he came back from the grocery store with all the fixings and made me a homemade egg sammich and he made the muffin and bacon crispy and it was totally incredibly good and very very bad for me. *throws caution to the wind* My darling, who made lunch and breakfast apparently felt right in assuming it's definitely a bacon kind of day.

For lunch, he made a little more bacon, toasted my bread very brown (the way I like it) and stuck it on a turkey sandwich with lettuce. Again, a serious droolfest for me. I was picking the crumbs up with my finger to get every last toast and bacon crumb. It was sooo good.

And mind you, I did get some work done during my piggyness. I worked up one sample template and then called the guy I'm doing it for and he gave me his edits and Voile! I have a template which I can work off to develop the other stuff I'm doing, so I'm feeling very much like the Web Mistress of the Day.

And I can only imagine that the baby's bones are growing because suddenly, I'm having cravings for calcium rich items. I want milk, yogurt and cheese and I want it in vats placed in front of me. The problem with milk is that it's one of those sugars (lactose) that totally fucks me up. A glass of milk is like one big sugar bomb for me. I did make sugar-free pudding last night and it didn't totally screw my sugars up all to hell -- miracle of miracles. Today I had a couple of no sugar added bowls of ice cream and I had a yogurt at lunch. I'm thinking I need to start taking Tums just to get the calcium. I know there are other calcium rich foods out there, but none of them sound interesting. I had the worst fetish for broccoli tonight, so I had that along with my potroast and potatoes.

Additionally, at this point in my natterings, I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank the Gods for crockpots. I cut up the veggies last night, browned the meat and all I had to do was drop the meat in there this morning, work all day, go to aqua aerobics and shazaam! dinner was ready!

Sheesh, it MUST be third trimester...I'm going crazy about food. Last third trimester, I spent most of my time at Togo's eating huge reubens and the rest at a place in town called Murder Burger ("they're so good they're to die for") eating ZOOM's (Batter dipped and fried Zucchini, OniOn rings and Mushrooms)and bacon burgers. And geesh, right now, there is not enough chocolate to solve what's wrong with me. Usually, chocolate and I are on friendly terms, but I don't HAVE to have it unless I'm on the rag or something and I'm definitely NOT on the rag, unless you count attitude and we don't. So nyah.

All I can think about lately is when do I get to eat again? Speaking of which, look at the time! I can't stay here writing because I can go make a snack!
