It's raining babies!

Jolene's shower was so much fun. I was a little nervous before I went because I only knew Bella, Stasi and >Jolene and had just met some of the other folks in passing. But it was fine. I also took Mike and Bear with me because I haven't felt like I've seen them much when I'm feeling good. Yesterday, I was terribly cranky and crabby and I think both guys were wishing me a slow painful death, but today I woke up feeling great and I wanted to be with them. I know that neither of them was thrilled blind with a baby shower, but Bear showed anyone who would look his Pokemon cards and Mike patiently made sure his face was wiped off and we all were pretty happy and content to just be around each other. Russell even came over and gave me a hug and a kiss at some point. I don't know how much longer I'll be able to get those out of him, but I'll take what I can get.

Jolene really liked her dress. The dress I made is off a McCalls pattern, but this is close to the same thing. I made hers with a light blue pinstripe and a rose paisley that picked up the blue. The hat associated with the McCalls pattern is much better than the Butterick hat, I think, because the brim narrows in the back and has a little bow on it in the middle. I didn't get the hat done yet because I couldn't find the fabric I needed to finish it. My livingroom ate my fabric. Damned livingroom.

I showed Stasi the fabric for her set and she seemed to think it was pretty cool, so I'm going to get to working on that. She asked about me making stuff for Jaxana and I told her that I bought double the fabric. She giggled. ;)

Mike needs the computer now and I need to smooch him a bit and then I'm going to sew some more.
