I went to Price Club with Pauline this morning. I so wanted to just stay home and sleep because I had a rough night last night. I went to bed last night around 130 because I was working on my journal late and then when I went to bed my nose was running so badly and I was feeling so lousy that I got up and took a shower. I got into bed and slept soundly until about 518. I think someone's alarm must go off in another apartment at that time or a train passes or something because I wake up at the same exact time each morning. Like a good preggo, I went pee and crawled back into bed where I was then entertained for at least an hour with cat scuffling under the window outside. I found out later that Cowboy had killed a rat and that it was probably him out there playing with his prey this morning. I would have like to have had a fire hose and blasted out the screen and doused the cat just to have PEACE. I'd let a large rodent live for an hour of sleep. Hell, I'd sell my soul for sleep. Then Bear got up at 7 and came rushing into the room to announce that he'd found the mayonnaise. This is the missing jar of canola oil mayo that seems to have mysteriously vanished and which I finally just went out and bought some more mayo in replacement for. Bear was a little ticked off that he had to use ranch dressing on his sandwiches this week rather than his beloved mayo, so he was quite thrilled to have found his mayo. I think I said something about that yes, Mommy had bought some more and would not like to be woken up again. Of course, after that, I couldn't really sleep. I had to eat something and all that lovely diabetic crap, so I tossed and turned, took my sugars and begged Mike to make me breakfast. It was a yuck breakfast...plain egg sandwich, which he knows I hate, but he was in a cranky mood, so he let me know. No salsa, no butter on the bread...no ketchup. I thought I was going to barf, but then the low sugar kicked in and I ate most of it. I couldn't down the last bit of it, but it worked out because my sugars were good. After spending my requisite $300 for groceries at Price Club, I came home and put everything away and then had this brainstorm that we needed to clean beneath the refridgerator. I can't bend that well, so Mike and I worked on it together, but Mike bitched evilly about having to do it. Then I had to have under the oven done, and Mike bitched some more and Russell helped with some of the harder places. The kitchen floor is spotless. Oh, for the groceries, because Pauline is having a hard time financially, I told her I'd buy her ~$50 worth of groceries if she'd give me some cleaning time and help me get the baby's room together. She agreed and she got some good deals there on food she wanted. I had to buy a lot of cleaning supplies this time, and I was low on everything, so I had to stock up. About once every 2-3 months, I spend $200-$300 at Price Club and stock up on stuff. I also had to buy some storage boxes for putting away stuff in the baby's room, so that was $30 right there. I got a lot of food for my money and was pleased with some of the deals I got. The meats there are sooo cheap! I'm tired now...going to fold laundry and then go to bed. And tomorrow I back off on my insulin at night two units. I'm way too low after meals. | ||
