The legos are locking into place so the whole thing is becoming real and the excitement I feel is building. He's going to be my husband and I'm going to be his wife. Mike said,"We've always been married. Now, we're just making it official." And really he's right. We have known since we first got together that this was it, even when we were first together. We've always known.

I dropped Mike off for work and then dropped off the paperwork at the church office for Canon Marcia and then in a fit of stupidity, went to the office and worked. I got the graphic done and finalized and everyone likes it and now, I've got the rest of the underpinnings of the web page put together in draft format, so I'll get to final draft status shortly and get that monkey off my back. And yes, I'm supposed to be on leave, but I'm trying to get the little bits of stuff done, so I feel like I CAN leave. I can just see myself in labor feeling like I can't have the baby yet because I've got to get this stupid web page done. Pfeh...not gonna happen.

I'm getting presents in preparation for the baby shower. It's so fun!! Mike's grandma and mom sent stuff and Karen was saying she's got a lot of presents at her house already. There are going to be about 12-15 people there, but I almost wish it were more. I like the people part. I know I should care about the presents and while the presents are nice, I care about the people coming to celebrate.

I've had to wait so long until I could celebrate that I feel like this shower is the celebration I've been holding off on and I'm getting bouncy and excited about having a baby for the honest to goodness first time. Geesh...eight months later and I'm finally partying -- must be a diabetic!
