My Favorite Music

Sweet Home Alabama-By Lynyrd Skynyrd

They say music soothes the savage beast. I think they are right. As a bipolar I totally agree. I enjoy music that SAYS something. Poetry put to music. Makes you think, yet relaxes and soothes. As a piano teacher I enjoy classical music, but that is not listed here, as I hear it daily at my job. I can see where Beethovan was bipolar. Undiagnosed in his lifetime, but one nonetheless. Mozart was off the wall too, and an alcoholic. Mendellson created a whole opera in 1-2 months...Manic? These are all very creative musicians....mellowed their souls by drugs. Is it no wonder that alot of todays musicians also do drugs? Connection? I think so.

Sometimes I enjoy LOUD rowdy music that really says nothing, but says something to me in my manic state. I know that inner dwelling when it happens, as my stereo goes up to peak loudness. I don't care what my neighbors think at that point. If I do, then the headphones go on. Theres nothing like being manic when it comes to music...It gets into your soul and stays there.
