Indonesian soldiers attack police compound
Indonesia's military has condemned an attack by 100 of its soldiers on a police post
on the island of Sumatra.
At least four police officers were killed and 15 wounded.
A local reporter claims the attack came after police arrested a soldier for suspected
drug offences.
Both the police and army confirmed an incident had taken place at a town near the
troubled province of Aceh, around 1,500 kilometres northwest of Jakarta.
A police spokesman told Reuters news agency the soldiers used rifles and grenades
and burned the police compound to the ground.
