New warnings on travel in Indonesia
The Australian government has added to its warning about travel to Indonesia, urging
extra care in light of the expected listing of Jemaah Islamiah as a terrorist
organisation by the United Nations.
The listing is expected on October the 26th, and Australian visitors have been warned
to take special caution particularly in Solo in Central Java.
Australians have already been warned to take particular care in centres such as
Jakarta and Surabaya and to avoid areas including upmarket entertainment venues.
