Megawati tells critics to seek new homeland
CAIRO (JP): President Megawati Soekarnoputri has warned Indonesians living abroad
against denouncing the nation, telling them to refrain from doing so or relinquish their
citizenship and move to another country.
"If they keep on denouncing Indonesia, (they should) seek another homeland," she
told Indonesians living here in a meeting on Thursday night.
She was quoted by Antara as saying that it was odd that some Indonesians living
abroad tended to denounce the country.
"Right or wrong, Indonesia is my country," she said.
She blamed their criticism on the absence of pride in their country.
