Homemade bomb explodes in troubled Poso
JAKARTA (JP): A homemade bomb exploded inside an empty public transportation
van near a traditional market in troubled Poso, Central Sulawesi on Thursday morning,
a police officer said on Thursday.
No fatalities were reported and the blast caused by a low explosive, that occurred at
9:15 a.m., only damaged the passenger seat of the minivan.
"According to witnesses, the bomb exploded after a man put a grocery bag inside the
van, which had stopped in front of the market waiting for passengers," said Sr. Comr.
Budi Hastono from the Poso Police precinct, El Shinta radio reported.
Budi said police were currently questioning two witnesses and the van's driver.
He said that situation in the market had returned to normal.
