Glyphs are artifacts that give you a fancy way of killing vampires (And
humans) without getting to close to them.
Not only do you have to find where the glyphs are, you also gotta solve
a puzzle to reveal it.
Each glyph gives you a different power, oh! and you can't loose Glyphs
either.
Keep scrolling down for the asterixes' meanings
The Side-Step Glyph* allows you to shift planes, you start the game
with this Glyph.
The Force Glyph pushes enemies back (Like a bomb's shockwave)
The Fire glyph (my fave)creates an expanding ring of fire that burns
to death anyone (Human or Vampire) it touches.
The Water glyph makes it rain and water burns some** vampires.
The Stone glyph emits an expanding ring and anyone (Human or Vampire)
it touches is turned to stone for a short while, but not killed.
The Light Glyph lights up the room with sunlight & that kills most
vampires.
The Sound Glyph creates a high pitched sound that stuns Vampires.
Accessed by pressing the Select button on Playstation, Up or Down on
the direction pad for Dreamcast,
the Glyph menu tells you what Glyphs you have, also it tells
you how many glyph points you have & how many points the selected Glyph
uses up:
for example: x/y
x is how many points the currently highlighted
Glyph uses.
y is how many points you have
*The Side-Step Glyph uses no points to work & only requires full energy and a Side-Step portal in order for you to Side-Step from the Spectral to the Real realm. You can Side-Step to the Spectral realm without a portal & at any energy level.
**Some meaning vampires that are young, Fledglings. Fledglings unlike adult vampires don't have red eyes.
As far as I can tell Glyphs DO work around corners, but not in the dead realm or in water.
The fire glyph is my favorite because it's a guaranteed kill, but the
Light glyph has a longer range.
