Please specify weather you want me to personally answer your E-Mail or put it and my answer on this page,
if you don't then the choice will be mine,
I'll probably do both.

Long E-Mails will be edited down to save space
and I won't put up stuff that has nothing to do with Soul Reaver. NOTE: I don't have the PC version!

I have heard on a FAQ that the Ariel Reaver and Kain Reaver were parts of the
story that were cut due to the time restraints. You had to reave Ariel's soul
(the spirit at the pillars) to Get the Ariel Reaver so that you could defeat
Kain. There were 3 fights with Kain, the one where you get the Soul Reaver,
the one where you almost defeat him and reave part of his soul (gaining the
Kain Reaver), and the last time where you ACTUALLY KILL HIM. Due to the cuts,
these reavers are only available with the cheats.
Also, since GameFAQ's LoK:SR board is so slow, I'll ask you in this. In the
Serifan Tomb, there is the name "Malek" I believe. Nobody seemed to notice
this but me. Is he one of Raziel's brothers or am I delirious and imagined it
all?

My reply:
No, you're not imagining it. In one of the games that set before the original Soul Reaver game, probably Blood Omen, Malek was defeated twice by.........I can't quite remember, but his soul was eternally fused to his armour and his body reduced to a bleached pile of bones. I heard somewhere that one of Raziel's brother was cut from the game due to time restrictions, for a while I thought it was Malek, until someone (at the Soul Reaver Gamefaqs.com board) told me that it was actually Turel, to my best knowledge/understanding they replaced him with a resurrected Turelheim as a quick way to get the Projectile.

HEAR IS MY THOUGHT ABOUT SOUL REAVER:
I THINK IT WOULD BE VERY GOOD IF THEY INVENTED A NEW GAME WHERE YOU COULD BE FRIENDS WITH YOUR BROTHERS AND KAIN, AND HAVE A GOOD TIME BY KILLING HUMANS AND GOING ON A RAMPAGE. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
P.S.:
HOW DO YOU FIND THE FURNACE ROOM TO KILL DUMAH AND HOW DO YOU FIND ZEPHON?

My reply:
Well that would be pretty fun alright!
But they aren't realy all that hard to kill, so I think the novelty would wear off after a while.
In response to your p.s.:
How to lead Dumah from his main room to the Boiler room:
From Dumah's main room lead him straight through the room with the fallen obelisk and through the doorway on the other side. When you see a block, a gate and a shaft of light lead him and turn right. Continue across the fallen drawbridge to a room with a caged off interior room, again lead him straight through and through the doorway on the other side, then through the corridor to the Furnace room.
(from my Puzzles-how to solve page)
and
Zephon:
Ability requirements: Soul Reaver & Phase.
At that place that looks like Stone Henge look around for a gate, phase through it.

were can I find soul reaver what store ?
ps.I rent the game it was the best .
That is the reason I want to get the game

My reply:
Well, I got my copy from a HMV store, but I'd say the
best place to by it would definately be online. That might be somewhat difficult
because the market is now flooded with PS2 and Gamecube games, so your safest bet would
be second hand, a site I found are gametz.com(a second hand game trading site, 48 availible for PS and 77 for DC last I checked)
Good luck.

I don't have soul reaver anymore, but I need a .jpg of
something from the game. On the playstation version,
when the game first starts? there are those..dunno,
stautes, or elders or something. some of them have
vampyre faces and some of them don't. it's the board
where you save your game; if you look at them long
enough they eventually all show a vampyre face.
anyway. I want screen shots of that. can you help?

My reply:
That picture on the main menu huh?
It'll be an animated .gif picture if anything.
Sorry, I don't think I can help you. You see, when
I got my pictures I pretty mutch looked for all the best pictures
I could find. I would've got that if I found it.
You might want to try doing a search on Soul Reaver related
animated gifs.
Good luck.

I am brand new with computer games.  My friend lent me his dreamcast a week ago, so that I could learn how to play with my 9 year old nephew.  I have been practicing on Soul Reaver, and using your website as an aid.
I got... Dumaih...(spelling?) and got to the room with two pools for his puzzel.  Unfotunatly, I have stacked the blocks wrong, and instead of having 3 blocks and one, now I have two stacks two high.  How do you unstack blocks?   They are too short to pull up to the bridge in the middle and pull them off, because they are level with it.  I'm stumped.  Could you help and old fart out, my nephew can't seem to figure it out either.  but he's WAY ahead of me regardless.  Thank you.

My reply:
Hello. Hmmmm, that's quite a problem. Firstly look around in the same room as the stack for other blocks, if there are the-- oh, hang on four blocks, hmmm. Well look in the second room and see if you can make a 3 block stack there, if not then the last ditch effort would be to die on purpose, work your way back to the room and try again.
Sorry I couldn't be of any better help to you, I'll put a warning on that puzzle, it is quite possibly one of, if not the hardest one in the game.

G'day dude! just started playing the ol soul reaver again last nite &
thought...must see if there's a web site...never remembered when I got
the game originally - & lo & behold there you were with an absolute corker!
I have a kwik Q tho - are there any maps of the soul reaver world out
there so you can see where yer going in advance?

My reply:
I seem to remember reading something about a map at thelostworlds.net, it's a pc version though, something like a location/text dump I think here (http://www.thelostworlds.net/SR1_Area_List.HTML) I'm not sure if I can find one for this game, uh SR2 has one though. Try FAQs and walkthroughs at http://www.gamefaqs.com.

Allow me to quote the power up:
" #10:
Ability requirements: Phase & Swim.
In the Human Citadel past the big water container thing go through a few doors and there should be a lake that leads into a cave*, on the other side of this lake there is a wheel, turn it & the water should drain away, go into and follow the cave & jump down, kill the vampire, move the blocks to the gate, Phase through & keep going to find a pie piece. "
All this information is accurate except for the ability requirements.  The ability to swim for this power up is unnecessary as no actual swimming is required nor is any contact with water necessary.  As you can see from your own description, you drain all the water before jumping into the area it was previously.
I just thought you would like to have that brought to your attention.
Further, I would like to commend you on your superb site as it has greatly helped me during my first time through Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.  Your information is great and full of details eliminating all confusion which I truly appreciate.  Your locations guide is certainly delightful.
Thank you for your help.

My Reply:
Very excelent observation, not that I actually want to pop anyone's bubble and send them crashing and burning, but...uh, you have to be able to swim in order to get to the human citadel.
Thanks dude, I try my best.

Original Message From: "mleach" mleach@triad.rr.com
Thanks for your response, but I still stand by my opinion.  I was actually able to get to the human citadel before acquiring the ability to swim.  In fact, I vistited the citadel after defeating the first boss, I believe.  The way I took to get there (which was actually an accident as I thought that was the way to the second boss) was by diving into the water at the abyss.  I, therefore, shifted to the material realm and proceeded to run up the waterfall style incline that is next to the path to Dumah.  After running up this path I was able to climb out of the water in the moat by means of a ledge and got into the citadel by flying through a window after running up a small tower kind of thing.  I then went and collected the power up in the aformentioned location.  I believe this is accurate and I know for a fact that I gained this power up before acquiring the swimming ability.  I encourage you to give this information a second look to try and confirm what I have just typed.  I hope my information proves true and, thus, helpful.  Thank you.
Again, I just wanted to say "thanks" for your site, once more, as it greatly helped me through the game, which I have finally beaten at this point with everything possible (power ups, maximum glyph points, etc.).  Thanks again.

My Reply:
Hmmm, usually if you fall into the abyss you get instantly transported to the elder's chaimber.
I haven't played Soul Reaver in a while now (I'm currently playing Marvel Vs Capcom and Sonic Adventure 2)
I'll try doing that, thanks for telling me. I'll try on both Playstation and Dreamcast versions and let you know if I can do it.

My Reply #2:
Holy crud, you're right! I never even thought about trying that! I'll change that on my page and give you credit, thanx :)
