I arrived in Japan on the 20th of August, 2003, and am teaching High School English in Muroto, a city on the eastern cape of Shikoku (the smallest of Japan's four main islands). After having sent many mass emails to friends and family, I decided that a weblog might be a more suitable format for recording and transmitting my mishaps and adventures.

If you have any trouble reading this page because the lines are too long, one solution is to shrink the width of the window - the text will conform to the window size. I just noticed this. It's great. Another alternative is to change the default font size that your browser uses. HERE are instructions on how to do that.
