One day at New York (2 Nov 2002 to be exact). I am trying out the digital still photo function of my Sony Digital Camcorder DCRTRV740. The weather was not particularly good - with clouds and occassional sunshine.

Yes New York too has rickshaws - called "Pedicab".

The Statue of Liberty with the cranes of the docks of New Jersey in the background.

Entrance to te NASDAQ Marketsite at Times Square.

The Chrysler Building decked in lights at night.

Aashish with Samuel L Jackson. Note the banner in the back.

Eye-catching billboard of the Nissan Z3 around Times Square.

TIMES SQUARE - they say this place is never empty or without lights.

This particular Kodak electronic billboard is really great. I have a video sequence of this in tape.

The spirit of America on a huge banner on the southern side of the WTC. It actually helps to drape the hotel whose side was blackended with soot of the South Tower.

Photo one day after 9-11 showing the devastation.

This one and the next two pictures highlight the transformation of lower Manhattan during the 70's.

Nuns looking or praying at the edge of Ground Zero.

Statue of Liberty from Battery Park (tip of Manhattan).

Battery City Park with Jersey City in the background across Hudson River.

Steel too can be beautiful. Observation deck at Battery Park City.

This is from Battery Park the southernmost point of Manhattan looking north.
