      Here
is a poem written by a Lawrence college boy for one of our girls. Who
the girl is, is a complete mystery. The boy who forwarded the poem to me
wanted it shared, but did not disclose who wrote it and for whom.
      This
was a poem written by a senior Topian which I thought I would like to
        share with conventarians:

      A
life long secret I thought will hold
But a crazy Topian, a poet, so bold
A 'Q' in the queue exposed my palm
For wounds of emotions, the only balm

      Center
of the universe once, that Pindi Point
Jesus and Mary Convent, your prettiest client
Her name was *****, for whom the bell tolls
The serene goddess, for whom the time stalls
      That
brief glimpse, the cross of the stares
Became a Topian's destiny, in all his prayers
Two souls in uniform, a beast and a beauty
For so many Sundays, those walks to duty
      She
was in there but beyond my access
Guards at the gate, the enemy of success
A Topian in his emotions will always dare
But climbing the fence, not a decent affair
To K. Roy of SS, I exposed my heart
She declined to help, my move not smart
      That
Adam in exodus joined his Eve
This adam in the process, lost his eve
The haunted J&M, with that holy cross
An empty place, here eyes don't cross
      I
salute all Convents, where ever I go
To keep lonely heart's sentimental glow
The world of ******, was that soul inside
Majesty of the building, a landlord's pride
