Lyons=
Well, I was in a band for like a month or two, and it wasn’t working
out, so it
kind of soured me on joining another band, so I decided to start my
own, and
here we are. This is only my second band.
Misty= I was on your site a day or so ago, and I
was checking out your lyrics
to your songs. I saw that you write almost all of the songs. What are
some
things that give you inspiration for your songs that you write?
Lyons=
Pretty much anything. I don’t know, anything and everything. It usually
centers
around something that pisses me off. But yea, pretty much anything and
everything though.
Misty=Hmm,
so the next question is- what have been/what are some musical
influences
to you and the band as a whole?
Lyons=
Well, I cant really answer for the rest of the guys, but for me
personally, it
would have to be Jerry Cantrell, Zakk Wylde of course, Curbdog and
bands like
that. Anything that has a cool hard rock vibe to it. Even some local
bands like
Solace.
Misty=What
are you guys listening to right now?
Lyons=
Mudvayne, and I just listen to MP3's, I just keep it on shuffle. Lately
I've
been listening to Audio
Kombat Arsenal.
Misty=What
would you guys consider yourselves music style wise? Are there any
artists you
can compare yourselves to?
Lyons=
Well, I usually tell people we are the Bastard child of Alice In Chains
and
Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society. It suits us.
Misty=What
is your drive to continue to play music?
Lyons= I
make music that I like to listen to. I'm one of those pathetics that
listens to
his own music.
Misty=So
you guys play at GROUNDWORK on February 28th, right? What kind of show
can we
expect from you?
Lyons= Expect
one hell of a show- That's just my artistic obligation to say- :laughs:
We'll
play all the more intense songs, and see what happens.
