Bio:

Born in Sault Ste. Marie I got hooked on hockey at a young age when my parents would take me to the Lake Superior State University games. I started my "career" at 4. By 7 I was playing Squirt AA for the Grand Traverse Hockey Association, Traverse City and mid-way of that season, I went from right wing to left defense where I have been ever since. There were some milestones while playing travel hockey in TC; my Bantam AA was the 1st team to make it to the International Silver Sticks and we did it 2 years in a row. One year we made it to the semi-finals in States. Learning how to win, getting a taste of success and loving competition, I wanted more. So at 15 and in the 10th grade I left home and played for the 81's West Michigan Warriors in the Michigan National Hockey League. That year we won the Oshawa Carlos Classic Tournament and also went to Kamloops. We had the second lowest goals scored against in the league. Summer of 1996 I as an alternate for Select 16's. The following year I moved to Sault Ste. Marie to play for Jim Capy and the Soo Hawks in the Great Lakes Midget Major Hockey League. The summer of 1997 I was chosen for 1 of 6 defensemen to represent Michigan in Select 17's. We won the bronze medal. For the 1998-99 season, I am Assistant Captain with the Soo Hawks. We have won the Oshawa Carlos Classic Tournament and the Steel City Tournament. I am a senior in high school with a 3.5 gpa. I have been a counselor for Huron hockey School and an instructor for Brian and Ron Rolston/Jim Roque's Hockey School.
