SKY PILOT

A few simple words

and the rabbits are on the run

gave this message

to the friend inside me

feels good to see them lost

with a cockroach loose

in their Tiger tank

no way to cover

those oversized ears

An angel saw me off this morning

taught me to fly again

while drilling

on how to spot the enemy

she said

“you’ll go further on a smile

they’ll put up a fight

but just for a while”

for something

I’m still looking for

a rabbit in my own right

refusing to run
