Speed Begin with a full deck of cards, less the jokers. This is a two person game. Inbetween the two players on a flat immoble surface lay out a line of four cards, all face down. Add four more face down cards to the two outter cards of the four so there is a pile of five then one then one then five. evenly deal the reat of the deck face down between the two players. When the cards are delt each player must take the five top cards from their own part of the deck and hold them in their hand. The player may look at these five cards. Together when the players are ready they must turn the two single cards inbetween them over to show the values. The players will stack their cards on the two single cards according to number. For example. If one of the single center cards is a 2 either an ace or a 3 may be places on top of it, but not another two. The cards played must either count up or down from the cards showing. Aces may be of all values, so a run may be K-A-2 if need be. As the cards are played each played will draw from their cards to replace the played cards, no more than five cards may be in hand. If the game comes to a standstill, where neither player can put their cards down, each played will flip a card from one of the outer players to cover the inner piles. This new card will start a new round. If neither can play and the outside piles are exhausted, the cards of the inner piles with an exception of the top card may be shuffles and dispersed to the two outside piles where new cards will be turned until the game can continue. The first played to rid themselves of their entire drawing deck and cards in hand is the winner of the game. |

Old Maid Begin with a full deck less the jokers and three of the queens. This is a two player game or can be played with multiple people. Split the deck in half (or in smaller parts for mor players) , approximation in this game is fine, it dows not have to be totally equal. Each player takes their half of the deck and looks through it and removes all of the pairs in their hand and puts them away. Conceal what is in your hand. The pairs you begin with are of no significance to the game. When all of the players pairs are removed with their cards faces facing them the players must spread the remaining cards in their hands. Alternateing each player is to take a random card from the others hand. Each pair is to be placed aside. Once a pair is made it is not needed. The game will continue until one person is left with the un-matched queen. Only one person should have a card in their hand (the queen), the rest will have been paired. The player with the one queen is the 'old maid' and has lost the game. |

Indian Poker Begin with a full deck, less the jokers. This is a Two player game but may also be played with multiple people. Rocks, beads, pennies or other things may be used as betting devices. Each player in the game will be delt a card face down. The player may not look at his of her card. The Ante is put in before the game starts. All of the players, with out looking at their own cards must bring the card to their forehead, the face side out facing the other players. Players must not see their own cards. Each player bets according to the cards they see. If you think the card that you hold is better than the other players', and you think you can win, place a high bet, etc. For Example if you are playing with someone and their card is a 3, you'd suppose your card is higher and you have a good chance of winning. After this bet you take your card from your forhead and both players determine the higher card. Ace is high in this game. The player with the highest card wins what was bet and the ante from all players. If it is a tie the bet stays in the middle and the game must be played again. The winner of the next game gets the entinre bet of both games. |
