It'll Be A Riot- 3

At the front Mark and Jack barely made their way out, being pushed along by the mammoth vehicle behind them. As the ambulance passed through the outer ring of the throng, the people acted as a strainer, latching onto the remaining eight agents, and sending them back, deeper into the riot. The agents' quick thinking brought them together into a tight circular formation, their backs only to each other. Kay made her second call for the backup. *Damn, another twenty minutes, what in the hell is wrong with these people?* Kay shouted into her headset, "On three, shoot into the crowd with the bean bag guns, we need to move them back!" Each of the agents raised their weapons, and aimed dead straight in front of themselves. "One..." Seth backed up and closed the last gap in the formation, right next to Kay. "Two..." Kay took a deep breath, time stilled for another moment, and thoughts raced through her mind at the speed of light. "Three!" There was a loud crack that echoed against everything it came into contact with, followed by a thud as the first layers of people were thrown back by the impact of the ammunition. Another shot from the team rang out in unison, pushing the mob back further.
Once they shot off three rounds, the bodies of the rioters were a good six meters distance from the formation. "Gas." It only took one word from Garrison and all eight pulled their gas masks over their faces. Kay reached for the first canister of tear gas in her belt.
The men towards the front of the mob pulled their shirts off and covered their faces, some tied the material over their noses and mouths, and others just held their shirts to their faces. Everything calmed for a split second as coughing and gagging filled the crowd and the gas settled. The agents prepared to douse the crowd once again, but they didn't have the chance. In the distance there was the sound of police sirens.
The rioters, many still unaffected by the gas, charged the puny, over-armed team. The agents dropped the useless guns to the ground and prayed to themselves and whoever was listening, as they began fighting with their bare hands. Kay looked back as she heard a scream. The only other female agent was pulled into the crowd, and Kay realized her mistake a second too late.

Kay got jerked away from her colleagues into the angry mob.
