Getting lost got more difficult ![]() I made a new site to share geographical information http://www.wikimap.biz
It is built over GoogleMap, but has some additional feature. Right now You can point a location and the site will give you an URL, which you can send to your friends by E-Mail. Which will show the exact location you pointed to your friend. Say for instance, you want to guide a visitor to your shop. All you need to do is to open WikiMap site; select the share option from tool-box, pan and zoom to locate your shop on the map; this will give you an URL code. Select copy-paste it to a mail. When your visitor will click on the link he will see your shop clearly marked. And he can take a few printouts to guide him to your shop. Like say, I am right now at http://www.wikimap.biz/index.php?x=88.43239903450012&y=22.571100220730894 click on the link, you will see a red marker on the map and can zoom to any level to find your way. Initially you may be interested in a map that shows whole of locality and then may be a closer view that shows each building in the block. In most of the places GoogleMap shows details upto building level. Apart from the existing features, you can also add your location information in the site (requires registration - and approval) I need your feedback on the site :-), you can invite your other friends to use the site. 2007-02-08 18:13:50 GMT
Thoughts are like fallen leaves, that have no root or cause. Some are bright and some are plain rot.
