This is the page that will document my progress as I turn this old beige e-machines etower 400i3 into a dark jade metal flake beauty. As I go I will put the pictures up on this page so check back often to see the progress.

This is the first step that I have taken. I sanded the poweder coat to bondo over the big e.

Now I have put the first coat of bondo on and that big e is well on the way to being smoothed away.

I finished sanding the first coat of bondo and it looks better already.

Now I have stripped the front of all its trim - they are going to get prepped for paint next.
I finished layout and cutting of my window design (its the schematic diagram symbol for a npn transistor) its filed down too.
Now I have ordered the fans ccfl tube and cables to finish this mod project
Fans cables and tubes came in and installed without a hitch. Now I am working on filliting in the fan towers to the case with more bondo. I should have a picture up soon. I have already tried lighting up the fans and ccfl and it is as bright as a small table lamp, cant wait to get the body work done so I can paint.
Should be done in a week or so.

Its been more than a week but the first coat of primer is on all the parts and I am about to go out and put the first color coat on. The lexan piece for the window is cut now too.

Finally I have the second coat of paint on all the parts and I am almost ready to reassemble this piece.

Today the final coat of clear coat is on and by 4:00pm today the machine should be booted and working.

The clear cote is on and dry. The lexan is installed. The box boot into FC 2 and works correctly, but the case is having fit problems and the top case fans do not run. These problems should be resolved by the end of January.
