A Service of the Soup Can League
Take note: This information has been gathered by patients, for patients. It is not medical advice. You should ask your doctor if you have any questions or if your side effects are too severe or last too long. That's what your doctor's there for. This is just common sense on dealing with some of the more short term side effects.
Abdominal Pain

1. Abdominal Stretching
Lie on your stomach with your arms and legs stretched straight.
Gently lift your upper body and legs off of the ground until you feel a slight pull.
Hold for 60 seconds and release.

2. Castor Oil Hot Pack
You'll need a hot water bottle or heating pad, castor oil and a thin towel.
Rub castor oil onto stomach.
Cover with towel (the towel keeps the hot water bottle or heating pad clean.)
Place hot water bottle or heating pad on top of towel.
Let it sit for 15-30 minutes. This can be used on other sore muscles too!

3. Drink chamomile tea.

4. Massage your ankles - they're the stomach's shiatsu points.
