Take note: This information has been gathered by patients, for patients. It is not medical advice. You should ask your doctor if you have any questions or if your side effects are too severe or last too long. That's what your doctor's there for. This is just common sense on dealing with some of the more short term side effects.

Dry Skin

1. Always use suntan lotion.

2. Cover your head with a towel and lean over a sink filled with steaming water. You can add peppermint leaves, orange blossoms, rosemary, chamomile, thyme, rose leaves or rose hips.

3. Olive oil works for really dry lips and skin.

4. Soothe sore hands with a mixture of cold cooked mashed potato and olive oil. Simply massage into your skin, leave for 10 minutes, and rinse off.

5. Use a skin brush or exfoliating cleanser to get rid of flaky dry skin
