If today, was the last day my eyes see,

The rising of the morning sun,
Children in the playground having fun,
The wonders of nature all around me,
The beauty of creation, as it surrounds me,
The many colours, red, green, yellow, black and white,
The stars shimmering in the skies at night,

      It would not matter,

For I have seen the most wonderful sight,
      My eyes could ever see,
I have seen the love in my wife's eyes,
Every time, she smiles and looks at me.

And if today was the last day my ears hear,

The birds singing their songs of love,
The crack of thunder roaring from above,
Waves rolling in, caressing the sand,
The click of fingers, or the clap of a hand,

      It would not matter,

For I have heard the most beautiful sound,
      My ears could ever hear,
I have heard my wife say I love you,
      Whenever we are near.

And if today was the last day my nose smells,

The freshness in the morning air,
The sweet sensations that abound everywhere,
The fragrance of flowers blooming in spring,
The many different aromas, that those flowers bring,

      It would not matter,

For I have smelt the most sensual fragrance,
      My nose could ever smell,
The fragrance of our bodies joining together,
Becoming one with each other, now and forever.

And if today was the last day my tongue tastes,

The many delicacies on which we can dine,
      Champagne, caviar, oysters, fine wine,
      Chocolates, candies, ice-cream and sweets,
And so many other tempting, delicious treats,

      It would not matter,

For I have tasted the most delicious taste,
      My tongue could ever taste,
The taste of my wife's lips as we kiss,
Nothing in this world could taste sweeter than this.

And if today was the last day my fingers touch,

Soft snowflakes as they gently fall,
The clear cool water in a mountain stream, as it flows,
The sensual feel of satin and silk,
The delicate petals on a new born rose,

      It would not matter,

For my hands have touched the most tender,
      sensual thing they could touch,

      I have held Renata's hand,
As we walked down the street
      Caressed her face, her cheek,
As our lips are drawn together and meet,
I have embraced Renata's tender body,
      While we have been dancing,
I have touched her, caressed her, explored her,
      While we have been romancing.

So if today was the last day of my life,

I could leave this world tomorrow,
      Without sorrow or regret,
      My dreams, desires and fantasies,
      Every one she has met,

      She has fulfilled every sensation,
      Every desire beyond imagination,

We have been together for 16 years,
And she has completed my life,
That is why I am so very proud and happy,
To write this simple poem, for my loving wife.

          Renata,
I love you with all my heart, with all my soul, with every part of my body now and always. From the moment you came into my life, you brought me a happiness I never knew I could feel. You fulfil my every dream and totally complete my life. I will love you always.
