I am a Superintendent in the South African Police Service, and have been in the police for
more than fourteen years. For about four years I worked at Jeppe police
station, first as a uniform police officer and after that as an investigation officer.
I
was transferred to Systems Management component where I was responsible for training in the
mainframe computer systems that the South African Police Service utilises, and also for user
support in these systems. It was here that my interest in computers started.
I am currently the commander of the Crime Information
Analysis Centre of the Johannesburg Area where I now use my computer skills in
the analysis of crime and the management of crime information.
