Comrades in Arms
The Cardassian officer fell to the floor, his chest a smouldering
ruin. Behind her, B'Elanna heard Suder and Seska's phasers, and
knew she was safe.
They sat, later, round a fire in a nameless cave, counting the
cost to the enemy. B'Elanna found herself saying, "You know, I
still keep expecting to have to move on."
"This is the Maquis," said Seska with a smile. "Nobody moves on
from here. You've got friends you can rely on here, B'Elanna. Who
knows, you might even find yourself a man!"
"Ha! I'd have to go half way across the galaxy for that."
