"Good afternoon, Ensign Kim."
"Commander."
"Well, Harry, you've had another great year. This could be the big one
for you."
"Except?" Harry was getting cynical by now.
"Except your moral character. The record shows you've been having sex
with a minor, on a regular basis."
"But, Commander, Linnis is half Ocampan! They mature quicker. Anyway,
you know we're married."
"But she's also half human, and protected by Federation law. In the
circumstances, prosecution isn't appropriate, but I can't promote
you."
Harry stood up and looked Voyager's new XO squarely in the face. "Tom,
you're a real bitch of a father-in-law."
