2003 - Daniel got 7 years old

Well, time is passing by ... and you notice this most when you look at children. It's incredible how fast they grow and how fast they become individuals.
Daniel now definitively has a mind of his own; he inherited his stubbornness from his mum and, of course, his cleverness and his good looks from me.
For his 7^th birthday I went to Hungary for a one week's vacation and I invited Daniel and his mother into a Thermal Spa Hotel in Kedihakustány.

From middle of July until beginning of August 2003 Rita and Daniel came to visit my parents in Waiblingen.
That time my dad already was quite sick, but we didn't know yet of his pancreas' cancer. Despite his not being well - and not knowing why - my father spent his utmost effort in thhe soccer tournaments Daniel was insisting on for having every day.
 

The game starts ...	... playing tricks on Hans & Siglinde ...	... shooting a goal ...	... and a proud Daniel.

 

On the 10^th of August we went to a German permier league soccer game (VFB Stuttgart vs. Hertha BSC).

2003 was one of the hottest summers we ever had in Germany. So most of the time we spent outdoors ...
 

... playing cards under the walnut tree	and doing bike trips.	The tree we planted for Dani's birth
