Fred Nickols, here. FTG1 at time of commissioning, later promoted to FTGC. Transferred from the "Waddle" to the USS Truxtun (DLGN-35) in November of 1968. I have been looking all over for some kind of way to rig a reunion of the Waddell's commissioning crew and it looks like I've found it. I know where "Willie J" (LCDR W. J. Thearle) is and my old weapons officer, Harvey Lasko, is too. My commissioning division officer, J. J. Kulesz rose to the rank of Captain but died early. Glad to know this site is here and, if this is going to Bradford ("Brad"), hello there, shipmate!
