    Persuasive Suicide

Surrender to me,
Don't defy me,
It will make it so much harder.
Don't fight me,
I am you.
Deep, deep inside you.
Stare into the darkness
And you will find me,
Solitary, unmistakable.
Growing, stronger.
Don't deny it,
You want me,
To save you,
Embrace you,
Cut off the pain.
Keep looking,
That shadow inside you,
Will it command me,
Let me engulf you,
Finish it all.
What have you left?
Besides me?
That light inside you,
Glimmer of hope,
Setting you free.
Show them, show them all.
Show them your strength,
Show them your power.
Follow me to eternity,
Yield to me your soul.
Let me take you,
Fill you,
Possess you.
I believe in you.
One reflex
And it's over.
I am infinite,
I am your salvation.
Draw me closer.
Let me cleanse you.
Let me............Kill you.

Paranoia

The end of a book
story, fairytale
They all end
I end
No ceremony
dignity, happy-ever-after
No animation, spirit
light
It's a parasite, sycophant
sucking, seizing
Blowing the candle
out

I am to die
Vanish, cease
No more life
breath
Lying on a slab, cold
Inanimate, defunct
Waiting for it
decay
It won't happen quickly
suddenly, prematurely
It lacks nothing but
mercy

There is no grasping
catching, clasping
To the last
hope
The rest is demise
lifeless, lethargy
In a grave, spiritless
Sleep
You came for me
spirit, energy
You're not it, not my
salvation

It can't all stop and fade
waste, dwindle
Forever cease to
exist
Nothing could stay dead
departed, forgotten
I have a reason and
subsistence
The state of being
living, existing
With total and permanent
cessation

None of the vital functions
operations, necessities
Is the state of being
dead
Fearing one, feeling a thousand
multitude, host
I can't, I won't
die

Morgan Le Fay, 1999
