Run-DMC will justify their royalty this spring and summer with at least 30 live shows across the country in support of their new album, Crown Royal.

The self-proclaimed Kings of Rock (though rap is the genre they helped define) are playing mostly colleges and radio festivals, with a few clubs shows along the way.

Crown Royal, the first record from the veteran rappers since 1993's Down With the King, debuts this week at #37 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Kid Rock, Fred Durst, Method Man, Nas and Sugar Ray are among the many guests on the record, which features the single "Rock Show" with Third Eye Blind's Stephan Jenkins.

Run-DMC play Thursday (April 12) in Detroit before heading to several campuses along the East Coast. The trio — Run (born Joseph Simmons), D.M.C. (born Darryl McDaniel) and DJ Jam Master Jay (born Jason Mizell) — will play alongside Blink-182 and Static-X at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas May 12, and with Papa Roach and Crazy Town at the University of Chicago May 19.

The group is also slated to perform on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on May 11.

DMC, who makes few appearances on Crown Royal, will release his debut solo album, Checks, Thugs and Rock 'n' Roll, later this summer.
