Some BRADY lyrics
To my ear, CANDY (SUGAR SHOPPE) is one of the dirtiest songs ever recorded. Perhaps it’s just me, but the whole premise for these lyrics seems to be a double-entendre of the sort that only Sam the Butcher would have been brazen enough to suggest. The fact that Greg sings to all of the girls (at least that is how it seems to be mixed) makes it into a big incestuous mess. The solo voices are put through so many effects processors that you really can’t tell how may people are singing at once. Bradys- naughty or nice? Judge for yourself.

SUNSHINE DAY, to me, is the epitome of what a Brady song should be about- NOTHING!!
I think that someone slipped Bobby some acid on this one. Perhaps that line was meant for a Mike Nesmith tune.
Imagine being one of the studio players who played on this junk. They probably have no recollection of the sessions, and I pray that they get royalties. Also, I must add that the line "I gotta get up, gotta get out, gotta get away. I gotta get away, get away, get away, get away" is one of the weakest things I’ve ever heard. Couldn’t they think up anything else to insert there?
