Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Chat
If you're parents are anything like mine, they will ask you why you should chat, "it's a waste of time". I got around that 'little' problem and chat anyways. But if you're parents are like mine, and you need somre reasons why you should be allowed to chat, here are some great and not so great reasons why you should chat. Just don't use those no so great reasons while you're trying to convince them.
I didn't give them a #1, #2, #3, etc. because it was so hard to decide which should go where. And please, some more reasons why people should chat.
Improve your typing skills.
Meet people from around the world and learn about their country and culture.
Practice that second language you are taking in school with a person who lives in a country where it's used and fluent in it. Learn more from that person, get better at using the language, and get a higher mark in school.
Learn new things you never knew from other people.
Get help with homework from your peers.
You can talk to someone while not dressed for company, didn't brush your teeth, just woke up, etc., and they wouldn't even know it!
Great place to make friends and/or get a penpal (email or snail mail)
Talk to more than one person while using the same (phone) line. (Also cheaper than three way calling.)
Kill any time that needs killing with something 'constructive'.
You can open up two windows and talk to yourself without people staring at you... well, not really.
It is a great self-esteem booster.
Nobody puts you down because of appearence.
You always said I needed to make new friends.
