When someone comes a week late for term - and promptly
leaves for London 10 minutes later, you take notice of her! I remember
that fateful day when the circuit breaker in the kitchen tripped. I had to
eat up some burgers, and since I could not finish everything on my own, I
asked her to join me. Little did I know that that evening would be the
beginning of a famous cooking partnership.
This girl is a wonder to me: she was never around in the first term. Everything seemed so easy for her. Here was I, mugging away while she was gallivanting all over UK. Why, two weeks before our Finals Part I, she was off to Spain with her then beau, Victor. The unceasing wonders of Ms Loh! |
She's now a junior partner is the family firm, and is married. And a mom already. Boy I am really slow off the mark!!
