Joyce is my sister. Well actually my cousin, but for many years, many people would see the family resemblance in us, and assume we were siblings. So why not? Oh - we've been through thick and thin together and from afar. It's just nice to have a blood relative that one can talk with. Great for getting a woman's perspective on things.
We have somehow followed each other around Asia. First Hong Kong and then Japan. Japan was funny because we had both independently ended up here - she because she married Reiji (Hello Reiji!) and me because of my job. Fates?
Anyway. My phone bill in Japan was high, mainly because of my regular phone calls to her in Tokyo. She didn't call me that much - her argument is that I could use AT&T's internet phone to call Tokyo at very cheap rates, while she couldn't call me in Kobe. So there... huh!
Like me I think she's about to gallivant around the world again. However, she's now married, and will not be able to just drop everything and go. Or so I thought. She now has two homes - one in Hong Kong, the other in Tokyo. And she is still travelling all around Asia. And she still has more notebooks and related gadgets than people have shoes. This is a woman who loves the latest toys.. No diamonds, no chains, just the lastest from Akihabara...
