I used to laugh at the white man's obsession with rushing outside and making burnt offerings to the gods whenever the weather warmed up.  Strange ritual.  Goes by various names, from braei (sp) to barbie to barbecue, or barbeque....

I mean, have you ever seen Chinese people behave like that?

BUT having said that, it is a great way to spend a few convivial hours in the company of friends - something we did in May at chez Lawrence.
