Yoyo ....where are you ??
He had been travelling a lot around the U.S. until the end of August '97 using
Greyhound bus. "Friends don't let Yoyo drive drunk", that's why he took the
bus....
During his trip, he visited so many places: Atlanta, St.Louis, Denver, Seattle,
San Diego, Davis (CA), El Paso, Los Angeles, he passed over 22 states by greyhound
bus. Travelling by bus was pretty hard to him (say, SF to Atlanta takes 72
consecutive hours) but totally fun: This is what he wrote to me:
"...I made friends on the bus and talk to them a lot, eat junk foods
a lot, sleep a lot. There are so many Mexican and black people that atmosphere
is totally different from our school; some babies keep crying all days long
and people, specially black guys, use "FUCK" words ( say, fucking 72 hours,
fucking driver, and so on) a lot; my neighbor said 47 "FUCK" words in 5
minutes. Anyway, I saw Major League Baseball in these cities; I visited
to them only for baseball. It was really fun for me though I don't think
it would be fun for you. I went to stadiums at the game time and went to
the bars nearby the stadiums before and after the game. I talked with so
many native baseball fans and nerds. They know players much more than I
do, so I got infomation of playeres from them. These are precious experiences
and fun except their language; they speak dialect and slang, so I oftenly
couldn't understand them; their languages sound like pretty different from
OUR Californian accent. However, we understood each other because we know
baseball and we love baseball and beer. What a beer magic!!
