TRANSPORTATION

The closest airport is Zurich.
Zürich's Kloten Airport is located 10 kilometers (6 miles) north of the city's center. Getting to and from there is a breeze, thanks to a rail line that runs from the airport to the center in just ten minutes, for about a tenth of the cost of a taxi.

The train is part of a comprehensive public transit system, a combination of bus, tram, and S-Bahn service that is one of the best in the world. The S-Bahn trains are very efficient, running at about six-minute intervals throughout the city. The main train station, the Hauptbahnhof, has hourly departures to many Swiss towns, as well as direct routes to many international destinations.

There is a really easy train connection right from the airport to Frauenfeld every half an hour; it's kind of simple.

You have to write "Zurich airport" ("zürich flughafen", in german) as "depart from". otherwise the timetable may not be the right one and you could spend the weekend at the station...

Taxis, in general, are very expensive.

From Zurich to Fraunfeld is almost 40 Km, that is 30 minutes by car using the freeway ("Autobahn").
