The closest airport is Zurich. Zürich's Kloten Airport is located 10 kilometers (6 miles) north of the city's center. Getting to and from there is a breeze, thanks to a rail line that runs from the airport to the center in just ten minutes, for about a tenth of the cost of a taxi. The train is part of a comprehensive public transit system, a combination of bus, tram, and S-Bahn service that is one of the best in the world. The S-Bahn trains are very efficient, running at about six-minute intervals throughout the city. The main train station, the Hauptbahnhof, has hourly departures to many Swiss towns, as well as direct routes to many international destinations.
There is a really easy train connection right from the airport to Frauenfeld every half an hour; it's kind of simple. Taxis, in general, are very expensive. From Zurich to Fraunfeld is almost 40 Km, that is 30 minutes by car using the freeway ("Autobahn").
