I had a love I thought was mine, a love that would stand the test of time.
To keep me warm in nights chilled air, to cheer me up without being there.
Seeing his verse did bring me glee.
To hear his voice my heart did sing, he set me free.
We talked and planned into the night. Exchanging pics to my delight
We meet and had a glorious two days of delight and I thought things would be all right.
So much in common, so much to share I had the feeling that he wanted me there.
Then one day he did profess that it was not me he wanted to possess.
I fought this urge to fight for him. For this love I wanted to last.
As time passed as I did see this love was not meant to be.
