Late at Night By MasterPhillip

The air presses down on wet unbreathing skin,
The night holds my head in its vice like grip,
Sleep eludes me, no rest or release,
Dark night surrounds me I can find no peace.

The wound in my heart bleeds, the blood drip, drip, dripping,
Flowing like tears down the sides of my face,
Why, why, why, thunders through my head,
Like a passing train or screaming plane.

Tell me why I rage to the night,
Please tell me why, I scream to the stars,
Please spare me this pain and tell me why
I cry to the Universe.

The Universe turns and regards,
The mote that called out to it so,
Answering with darkness,
And SILENCE.
