The Reigning of the Storm By Stormbringer
Along a barren, rocky shore,
In a Kingdom called Mundane,
Lived a princess fair and sweet,
Whose touch was gentle soft.
Hair of gold and eyes of blue,
Her smile like rising dawn.
But misery was her lot in life,
And grief her only friend,
Forlorn of heart and soul,
She lived in sorrows dark.
A crushing force had claimed the land,
And ruled with killing steel,
Those who did not live its way,
Or dared to walk alone.
Along the castle walls and gates,
Two Demon guards were set.
Ten men high from head to toe,
Ne're found by Mortal sight.
Fear, the first one's name was called,
And Terror was his twin.
With unseen bonds of steely shame,
The princess they did bind.
Submission is my name she cried,
But only for my Lord.
He that's great and strong enough,
To free me from this pain,
Will find a tender heart inside,
And loins as wet as dew.
Like winged dove her cry took flight,
O'r the length and breath,
Of all the places in the world,
Looking for the one she sought,
Who could heed her mournful plea,
Until at last the quest was done,
Her champion he was found.
A great and fearsome beast,
Lay there in the dark,
Uneasy in its sleep it heard,
The distant wailing cry.
Bringer of the Storm he was,
And Chaos was his reign.
For all that knew him feared him,
Trembling in his wake,
Knowing not the troubled soul,
Behind the fiercesome face.
Woken from his slumber,
By urges never known,
From his chains unloosed,
He ran throughout the world.
From wind-swept mountain tops,
Through the choking sand,
Without pause or care he hunts,
Ever lusting for his prey.
Under burning Sun by day,
Or starlit freezing night,
He moved across the Land,
Till the kingdom he did reach.
Then people shook to see his rage,
And screamed in panic pure.
The Bringer of the Storm,
Has come to lay us waste.
On his name were curses laid,
As they pled with him in vain,
O'Bringer of the Storms,
Take not our only home away,
But let us rest in peace.
He roared at them in Thunder,
With lightning in his eyes.
From my path I sweep you,
Run away and hide!
Then in battle he did join,
With Terror and his Twin.
The Earth it shook,
And mountains fell,
The sun was blotted out.
Howling winds and driving sleet,
Smashed across them all.
Ocean waves that reached the sky,
Were flung across the land,
Blasting out the heinous rot,
That clung to evil soil.
The battle raged for days on end,
Till nothing more was left,
And when the smoke was cleared away,
The Demon Guards were slain.
But alas!
The Beast was wounded sorely,
When the princess found him,
And bleeding out his life away,
Along the rocky shore.
Heedless of her gown she was,
Or the looks that people gave,
Falling to her knees beside him,
Crying out his name.
My Lord you can not leave me,
For I'm forever yours.
Take my heart and soul,
I give them to you freely.
Take my body too I beg,
And claim it as your right.
Then healing tears ran down,
And flowed across his wound.
Before her disbelieving eyes,
The Beast was melted down,
Until he stood upright once more,
In pure and Manly form.
He claimed her lips with his,
Their arms around each other,
Drinking of that fount,
So freely did she give.
Then chains of Love,
Fell upon them both,
In so pure a Bondage,
By hammer never broke.
The storm became a tender rain,
For gently growing things,
That sprang up at their feet,
They shouted out their joy.
So on that perfect day,
Love had conquered all,
The land was set to rights,
And Freedom was it's name.
