Greg's Take
Hello everyone this week's subject is the recording industry of america a.k.a. RIAA. So recently the recording industry has been trying to shut down napster, and how are they doing ? Well so far they are succeding w/ flying colors. A judge ordered it to shut down and this was waved only by an appeal act and even now they will not be up very long I fear. Now why is the RIAA trying so hard to ban napster. Their logic is this people who are downoading music are much less lkely to go out and buy a cd. This logic sounds good however the beligerent assholes didn't even pay attenrtion to a study they themselves funded. This study says that people who download music are 40% more likely to go out and buy a cd from the person they download, so leuitenant dick from now on gets ur facts straight and dont come in here whining to me aboout they are stealing ur music. They aren't stealing shit my freind. It's not everyone else's fault that u have shot ur own damn industry in the foot w/ this internet thing because frankly my out-of-work rock star freinds, I suggest u come out w/ someting better to beat the other guy because u cant win at their game trying to regulate the internet from a bunch of teenagers is like kevin trying to rap. It works for about half a second and u realize that if somebody doesn't think of someting else to do quick there will be cops at the door of ur house house and then u will end up getting sued for what they call psycological warfare because lets face it kevin can rap about as well as an orangutang hung by his scrotum after watching a 14 hour andy griffith marathon (kevin dont take this personally u just cant rap) . Also they dont seem to be able to grasp the concept that maybe, just maybe not all musicians feel the same way about napster as a few fat old white men sitting on millions who are as upset as pamela anderson that people dont watch her show VIP for the acting, about losing a few milliion dollars of money they would be swindling away from the artist anyways so the way i see it we are not stealing form the artist we are stealing from millionaires and in a sense doesn't that make us sort of robin hoods of our own time steal from the rich and give to... ourselves as the case may be. IF all musicians feel that napster is losing them soooo much money then why pray tell is limp bizkit doing a napster sponsered tour.and why is it that metallica of all bands is sueing. Shouldn't be a band that everyone already hates like N sync or backstreet boys this is one of the few times that they are not a the blunt of ym anger in the musci buisness but i would't give that one a very long time. any ways back to why metalica should be burned at the stake while being fored to watch ms love do a strip tease for them, metalica knows that they cant ome up with a good enough album ofr anyone else to buy in mass quantities again. The only people napster hursts is the one hit wonders furnished by the same fat cats who brought u a britteny spesars, n sync, and the rest who feed on your hormones like a sweat shop worker for nike who has only made 32 ents in the last 7 days of work and uses it to only buy slimfast becasue these same guys make them think that they're fat Napster is a god send for those who have real musical talent and are capable of producing their own hits. So basically what i am saying is that the American legal sysem's loopholes that u could drive a mac truck throgh are only going to hold out so long and while it does' we will continue to get our rightfull share of free shit cause lets face it the music buisness has inflated priced more that carmen electra's breasts, so we need the free stuff in order to even it out. but back to the point, we all know that even if they get napster banned there will be something just likeit in the next week if not hour so what they sohould try and sdo is what all americans do when they get screwed (besides sue now a days) think of something better to got poeple to buy their shit make it worth the millions that we wend and quit giving us music equivalent to the prize at the bottom of a crackerjack box.
