Presently: (more links and stuff coming soon)
After 12 years exploring the world, expanding my horizons (and my hips), and learning all SORTS of things I wouldn't have learned otherwise, I separated from the Military and "came home". My son and I are settled into a happy routine of status quo... him off to school, me off to work... Rockwellian at best!
Check out "A night on the Town!"
Some Interests of the SweaterGirl:
Some of my favorite things to do ...
Reading... I'm eclectic in my taste, everything from "self-help", to mysteries, to romance (as long as it's not too gushy), to action, to spy, to historical novels, to biographies.
Music... again, ecelectic in taste. On my desk (here at work), I have new Country, Dance, Irish, Gregorian Chants, Rock, Alternative, and Soundtracks...
Sewing... I mainly sew for myself, but have done a couple of dresses for my mom and a few things for my son. Other than that, I mostly mend, or so it seems.
Junking... now, while this sounds really gross, it really consists of just spending time going thru "Antique" places in town... though I'm not quite sure what they advertise to be antique really is, it's certainly "junk I don't really need". So, I mostly look and dream.
Researching.... local history, specialized history, family history, the history of something. I guess I'm a historically curious person. My hometown is RICH with history, and while I'm not a "buff" with remembering facts and figures, I do appreciate and like knowing a little more every time I visit someplace. Or, maybe I just like spending a quiet afternoon in the library?
