All My Tomorrows
Sometimes we go through life not knowing
what we are really looking for
And often find ourselves lost
and not really sure which way to turn
And sometimes we make the right choices
But often make the wrong one
Especially with our hearts
But I have always had a vision
and from the moment I met you
I knew that vision included you
Together we will build a future
that is full of love and happiness
One in which we can walk as one
Where you and I can grow with each other
Sharing not only intimacies but our souls
Leaning on each other in hard times
And laughing and loving in the good
Not only being lovers but also friends
who give of themselves freely with no demands
Come share my hopes and dreams
And walk love's path with me
Forever by my side to guide me
And brighten up my every day
For you are my perfect love
for all of my tomorrows
and for all of my todays

Hurting Inside
I loved and I lost
I am hurt, pain and despair
wracks my body
I wonder will it ever go away
I cry
so many tears
so many nights
sobbing uncontrollably
with an emptiness inside
finding no solace in the
memories of you
that torment my mind
My heart aches
broken beyond repair
I struggle just to carry on
I ask myself why
What went wrong
How could your love die so quick
But I have no answers
I keep hoping that this is all a dream
and that I will awake to find you there
Oh please let this be a dream
I am not ready
to face the future without you
I know in time the pain will ease
The hurt will slowly fade away
and I may even love again
But I will never forget you
And when I see you on the street
I'll shed a tear or two
for what could have been
as the memories once again return
I will miss you love

New Love - Old Love
Long ago two young lovers walking arm in arm under a starry sky
stealing kisses neath a yellow moon
laughing and giggling as they walk
She teases him and runs off ahead
He chases her and catches her
They laugh some more
He tilts her head and kisses her
and whispers I love you
Thoughts of a future together
dance through their heads
A perfect picture of young love
Time goes by so quickly and then
Two old lovers sitting on a bench
holding hands and watching children play
They sit there quietly talking
She moves closer and nestles her head on his shoulder
They kiss and reminisce of their life together
and smile - still so much in love
after all these years
Through the good times and the bad times
nothing has changed
Still the perfect picture of love

Dance With Me
Come to me my love
Let me hold you tight
Come dance in my arms
to the music in our hearts
Come walk with me
and count the stars
Let your lips join mine
in a soft sweet kiss
that cannot disguise
what is in our hearts
Come stir our passions
and ignite our souls
Let us travel to paradise
on the wings of our love
and spend all our days there
together as one
surrounded by the magic
that is our love

My Search Is Done
I was lost and all alone
searching for that special someone
whose heart was matched with mine
I needed someone who treasured honesty
commitment and togetherness
someone I could spend my days with
as well as all my nights
someone for me to love forever
not for just a while
someone I could laugh with
and I could cry with
someone to share all my hopes and dreams
someone who would love me
for who I am
despite my imperfections
someone who could stir my soul
just by her very presensce alone
Someone I could give my heart to
and know she would keep it safe
someone who would stand by me
through good times and through bad
someone to be my partner
my equal and my life
who will face tomorrow with me
each and every day of her life
I didn't think that I would find you
But you came into my life
And now my search is over
For you have promised me....
forever

The Pages Of My Love
Tucked inside a corner of my mind is a book
where I keep all the special moments of our love
I spend hours there reminiscing
reading from the pages of our love
recalling all the intimate details
of events long since past
retracing in my mind
our first awkward steps along the path of love
As I read my eyes get misty as the images dance acroos my mind
I remember your shy smile when we first met
and how it captured my heart
Oh how I longed to hold you
The memories of our first kiss
So soft and sweet
Its taste still limgers on my lips
the first time you told me you loved me
my heart beating so hard I thought it would burst
the way you melted into my arms and held me tight
whenever you needed to feel the closeness of me
the way my heart soared whenever you were with me
wrapped safely in the cocoon of our love
the envious glances of others
as you walked hand in hand with me
How proud I feel with you by my side
Each vivid page I read stirs my soul
And leaves me with a feeling of contentment
Knowing that you love me as much as I love you
fills my heart with joy
and keeps me strong
whenever time and distance force us to leave the comfort
Of each others arms

The Long Walk
The day latens and nightime hastens
plunging the world into a velvet shrouded darkness
The only light a pale sliver of yellow
cast down from a crescent moon
Its soft glow illuminating the path ahead
We walk slowly you and I hand in hand
Two lovers setting out on a lifelong journey
Few words are spoken
They are not neccessary
Our hearts and our souls are as one
filled with the joyousness of new love
We walk slowly, stepping carefully , for this journey
may be arduous and pifalls may abound
But we walk steadily ahead
unwavering in our quest
Certain in our minds
that the love in our hearts
will keep us strong and help us survive
And with each passing step we take
the darkness of night gives way to dawn
And the light from the morning sunrise
slowly bathes us in its wondrous glory
and the road ahead is clear

A Net Romance
Your words of love have touched me
and you have changed my life in many ways
My days are so much brighter now
that you have come into my life
I awake each morn and greet the day
with a smile upon my face
as thoughts of you dance through my mind
I check my mail to see if you have
left a little love note for me to enjoy
And when we "chat" I can feel the passion
the joy and the sorrow in your every word
Your words transmit your emotions so well
I feel as if I am there with you
instead of thousands of miles apart
Your heart speaks softly to mine
whispering words of love
and my mind hangs on to your every word
treasuring it, savoring it , memorizing it
to safely store in my treasure box of memories
so that I can recall your every word
whenever we are forced to be apart
And even though we have never met
as oceans keep us apart
my heart has known yours forever
and we have become so very close to each other
over the last few months
having bared our souls to each other
through our letters and our chats
on a almost constant basis
We have come to the realization
that our love is destined to be
We must soon meet and come face to face
so that our love can flourish and grow
and that we may spend eternity together
two souls, two hearts ,together as one
composed apr 27 1999 by Philip M. Cook
Darest I dream
to taste your lips so soft and sweet
and to touch your skin with mine
to lay with you in a meadowland
your head upon my chest
to hold you oh so close to me
and surround you with my arms
to love you with all my heart and soul
to be with you for all time
to run my fingers through your hair
and take your hand in mine
to be the one who comes to you
and enters your dreams each night
to be the one you choose to give
your heart your soul your love
Oh dare I dream these things
dare I hope they can come true
or am I just a lovesick fool
who must love you from afar
composed apr 30 1999 by Philip M. Cook
Questions
To be the wind that kisses your face
as it gently swirls around
or the sun that touches your skin
and warms your inner soul
or the moonlight that watches over you
as you lay softly sleeping
to be the gentle rain that falls
and bathes you with its drops
or the song that fills your heart
and lets your spirit soar
or the poem that makes you laugh
or brings a tear to your eye
to be the one that you desire
and takes your breath away
to kiss your lips and feel your love
surround me in its glow
Is that too much to ask of you
or am I just a wishful dreamer
building castles in the sky
