A Long Time Ago
In a Galaxy Far, Far Away…

It was a time of political upheaval. Chancellor Palpatine had named himself Emperor of the Galaxy. The Republic was in turmoil. While the Senate still functioned, and the Jedi still helped them to uphold the Peace, Darkness was falling across the Galaxy.

“Darth Vader” had been born. This powerful wielder of dark side energy was cutting a path through the ranks of the Jedi Knights. By use of his own powers, Bounty Hunters, and converted Jedi, he sought to wipe the Jedi’s flame from the Galaxy.

One of these converted Jedi was one Tirel Nadd. Tirel was easy to convert. Vader had long ago captured Nadd’s sister Tatyana. In a twisted and rather manipulative plot, he instructed the female Nadd to capture one Sia-Lan Saar, someone Tirel held very dear. Over the course of a few months, Sia, Tirel, and their friend Derrick Thorne fought against the forces of the newly forming Empire forming the Core of the Rebellion. During the course of these events, Tirel fell in love with, and married Sia.

In the final conflict Tirel was forced to choose between Love and Blood. The Lightsaber duel between Tirel and Tatyana was fierce, artful, and deadly. Tatyana fell to her brother’s blade, and with her fell the light in Tirel’s heart.

Before the body of Tatyana could even grow cold, Tirel was captured by the newly formed legion of the Emperor’s will, Stormtroopers. They took him to the Palace on Coruscant where Tirel broke out, calling upon the Dark Side he could hear whispering to him as an aid. When he reached the throne room of Palpatine with the words “You need me!” he had proven two things. One, he was willing to serve the Emperor’s will, and two, he had passed the test the Emperor had placed before him.

Tirel was named an Inquisitor, and given command of an Imperial Class Star Destroyer. Darth Vader’s attention had been turned towards a secret project of the Emperor’s and so Tirel was given the task of hunting down and either converting the remaining Jedi. As evil as his acts seemed, Tirel was acting under the constraint that the “Empire” was the law of the Galaxy. Just as the Republic had been, therefore the Rebels and the Jedi who refused to submit to Imperial law were both Traitors to themselves but the Jedi Code as well.

To assist Tirel, and to keep an eye on him, Palpatine assigned Morgaine, a Dark Side Prophetess. After 5 years this would affect events like no one imagined. The Prophet had a startling and rather vivid image one night that the fall of the Empire would soon come from the desert planet of Tatooine. She saw in rather vivid detail a Jedi in hiding, a young farm boy who would destroy Tarkin’s toy, and the end of the Empire she loved. She also knew somehow that Palpatine allowed this or at least knew. She divulged this information to Tirel and he without hesitation acted. The Prophet left the ship to return home.

Arriving in orbit of the desert world, Tirel reached out with the force, searching the planet until he found one Ben Kenobi. After a moment of reflection, he ordered the destruction of an area in the Dune Sea a mile radius from the old Jedi’s hut. Young Luke Skywalker would never meet Ben Kenobi. He also had the young boy arrested as he sensed within him potential, and upon hearing the boy’s name, a smile graced his face. While he debated what to do with young Skywalker, the force gave him his answer.

The Rebellion Cruiser Tantine IV came out of hyperspace near the edge of the system, followed closely by the Star Destroyer Avenger, Vader’s ship. When Vader hailed Tirel questioning his presence, Tirel offered him a trade. Leia Organa for Vader’s son. Darth Vader accepted without question.

Meanwhile, the Prophetess had returned to the Imperial Capital and in a daring display killed Palpatine, absorbed his life essence into a Holocron, and assumed his throne, just as the Death Star was completed.

It has been 4 years. The Empress holds the Galaxy under her rule. Tirel watched as young Luke Skywalker grew power hungry and killed Vader, taking Vader’s place. When Skywalker attempted to kill the Empress, Tirel was more than happy to remove that threat, and assume the title “Dark Lord of the Sith.” There has always been the rule of two: Morgaine is the Empress and the Master. Tirel or “Darth Talos” is her right hand.

The Galaxy needs light, the Galaxy needs hope, the Rebellion is still out there if you know where to look. Question is do you dare turn against the will of Empress Morgaine and her “Fist” Talos, or are you afraid?

Fear Leads to Anger
Anger Leads to Hate
Hate Leads to Suffering.
